Towards a record-breaking edition at the heart of adidas 10K Paris

May 19, 2026 at 2:00 PM

The 10-kilometre race, France’s favourite distance

With 13.2 million people practising running in France, the sport has never been more popular. The flagship distance in the country, the 10-kilometre race has established itself as the French public’s favourite format because it strikes the perfect balance between accessibility and a true sporting challenge. In this dynamic context, adidas 10K Paris is set to welcome a record-breaking field of more than 44,000 participants for the 2026 edition, confirming its status as a leading event on the European stage.

A reflection of the evolution of running, the race also showcases a peloton undergoing major transformation: younger, more connected and, above all, more female, with women making up 48% of the field, well above the national average. This new generation of runners is both committed and well-structured, with 86% following a training plan and 75% entering a competition within their first year. They find in adidas 10K Paris the perfect playground, combining performance, wellbeing and a festive spirit.*

A festive and united event

This year, the start will be given from the Trocadéro, facing the Eiffel Tower, offering a spectacular setting from the very first metres. Runners will then discover a brand-new course winding through the heart of Paris’s most iconic landmarks. Once across the finish line, the experience will continue in a festival-style finish village. Participants and supporters will be able to come together to celebrate performances, share emotions and enjoy a friendly and festive atmosphere driven by the collective energy that has become the hallmark of the event.

Last chance to take part in the event through charity bibs. By supporting one of the partner causes through fundraising initiatives, runners can still secure their precious entry for June 7 and add an even stronger charitable dimension to their sporting challenge. This year, nearly 2,400 runners will wear a charity bib on the start line, compared with 1,800 in 2025, setting a new event record.
