We’re aware of the ecological issues and by using the GESI* chart, adidas 10k Paris took measures to protect the environment and the social responsability.
Our commitments are:
๐ง No more plastic bottles on the refueling stations. We use now water fountain and 100% compostable tumbler and a Eco cup at the final refueling station after the finish line.
โป๏ธ Recycling boxes are available to collect and recycle your bib (it’s also Made in France !)
โก 100% of race vehicles are electric or hydrogen (we must use vehicles to insure your security)
๐งป 100% dry toilets
๐๐ 100% of the non ate food on refueling stations is given to an association
๐ฅ The medal is made in Spain, made with woods residues coming from sustainably managed forests and the ribbon is made of recycled pastic bottles
We decided to choose medals coming from Spain to reduce our carbon print.

By using recycled polyester, we preserve our ressources, we reduce fossil energy extraction and have a positive impact on the planet. It’s one of the solution chosen by adidas to reduce plastic waste!
*GESI Chart : launched January 12th 2017, by French Ministry of Sports and WWF, this chart has ambitious and numbered goals to make environmental preservation one of the conditions to organize massive sports events in France. 15 commitments signed by 70 institutions from the sports sector.
